Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Coordinator billing setting to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in financial transactions, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This position requires a strong understanding of insurance financial concepts, medical billing practices, and excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with patients and resolve any billing inquiries.

Responsibilities

Assist billing manager with billing and financial coordinating
Correspond w patients often regarding financial responsibility for treatment
Request authorizations to insurance carriers and carve-out plans
Insurance eligibility/benefits/accumulations check for all patients
Insurance claim follow-up and collection calls for denied/delayed unpaid claims
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries regarding billing issues or discrepancies.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of standard laws and guidelines relevant to the medical billing industry.
Assist in the preparation of financial reports as needed.
Uphold professional phone etiquette when communicating with clients and vendors.

Experience

Proven experience in a billing or accounting role, preferably within the fertility healthcare sector.
Proficient experience with a variety of insurance carriers from a practice perspective
Familiarity with financial concepts, medical billing procedures, and governmental accounting is essential.
Strong customer service skills with a focus on effective communication and problem-solving.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Previous experience as a billing coordinator/financial coordinator is advantageous.
