Position Summary:
We are a dynamic and rapidly expanding molecular diagnostics laboratory based in the Southeastern United States, seeking a highly motivated and accomplished sales professional to drive business growth. Ideal candidates will have established relationships with physicians, medical offices, and hospital administrators. Exceptional communication skills are essential for building and maintaining strong partnerships across a diverse range of healthcare providers.
Our laboratory offers a comprehensive suite of molecular testing platforms. Target specialties include: Primary Care, Urgent Care, Pediatrics, Long-Term Care/Nursing Homes, Urology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Wound Care, Cardiology, Pain Management, Neurology, and more. Basically, if there's a body part or a medical specialty, we probably test for it.
Key Responsibilities:
· Identify, engage, and secure new business opportunities through strategic prospecting, negotiation, and collaboration. Bonus points if you can do it while juggling.
· Develop and manage a performance-driven sales pipeline. Think of it as your personal sales slip-n-slide.
· Conduct in-person presentations and meetings with prospective and existing clients. Smile, nod, and wow them with your brilliance.
· Analyze client needs and deliver tailored solutions to ensure satisfaction. Like a diagnostic fairy godparent.
· Educate key personnel on sample collection, requisition requirements, and laboratory processes. No wand required.
· Design and execute a strategic business development plan. Preferably one that doesn’t involve carrier pigeons.
· Provide weekly progress reports to senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and opportunities. Charts, graphs, and maybe a meme or two.
· Formulate strategies to overcome obstacles and capitalize on market opportunities. Ninja skills welcome.
· Monitor industry trends and competitor activities; actively participate in professional marketing events to expand business networks. Bring your best elevator pitch and maybe some breath mints.
· Acquire new accounts while maintaining and growing existing relationships. Like a gardener, but with contracts instead of carrots.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required. Preferably in something that sounds impressive at dinner parties.
· Minimum of 2 years of Business-to-Business sales experience; strong preference for candidates with Pharmaceutical, Medical, or Diagnostic sales backgrounds. Bonus points if you can pronounce 'polymerase chain reaction' without blinking.
· Commitment to executing within the company’s business development framework. No freestyling unless it’s brilliant.
· Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth. Trophy shelf optional.
· Energetic, goal-oriented, and collaborative team player with a strong drive to succeed. Coffee addiction acceptable.
· Demonstrated ability to establish and nurture client relationships. Must love people (or at least pretend convincingly).
