About the Role
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Preimplantation Genetic Testing (PGT) Coordinator. Reporting to our PGT Manager, you will play a critical role in coordinating and overseeing the PGT process to ensure the most accurate and efficient administrative support related to the genetic testing of embryos. You will work closely with our clinical, laboratory and external reference lab teams to facilitate the seamless execution of the PGT workflow. You will be working in a fast-paced, rapidly growing environment where you will be relied on for your expertise, professionalism, and collaboration. This role is a FULL TIME position and is remote.
Responsibilities
- Support patients in their pursuit of PGT testing for all Kindbody clinics through collaboration with various teams: clinical, embryology, financial and reference laboratories.
- Coordinate PGT testing (PGT-A, PGT-M, PGT-SR, and WGS cases) on behalf of physicians, including patient outreach with testing details, submitting test requisitions, and communicating patient desired changes back to the clinical team for approval.
- Monitor and track the progress of PGT cycles, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Communicate with external genetic testing laboratories and ensure results are received within the appropriate timeframe.
- Liaise with reference and embryology labs to assist with any discrepancies in submitted orders, samples, or paperwork.
- Coordinate with financial teams to verify coverage and assist patients with financial arrangements.
- Address patient phone and portal message inquiries and concerns related to PGT, offering compassionate support.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical and laboratory teams to optimize PGT workflows.
- Assist with results delivery, referring patients to genetic testing companies/physicians if there are additional inquiries
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all Kindbody ethical standards, policies and procedures in handling genetic information.
- Assist in locating relevant genetic reports necessary for PGT-SR or PGT-M cases
- Assist in coordinating additional testing or counseling related to PGT-M
Who You Are
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., biology, genetics, healthcare administration) or 1-2 years of work experience in a similar healthcare role.
- Prior experience in a healthcare or fertility clinic setting; knowledge of PGT processes and procedures a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to empathize with patients.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining accurate records, data collection and documentation.
- Nice to have: Knowledge of genetic counseling principles and familiarity with informed consent procedures.
- Nice to have: Proficiency in medical terminology and understanding of genetic testing terminology.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Adherence to ethical standards and a commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing clinic needs and patient schedules.
- Willingness to stay updated on industry regulations and advancements in PGT technology.
