Who we are looking for:

In this role, you will:
- Receive and process semen samples
- Perform sperm analysis and preparation for IUI and IVF
- Sperm cryopreservation and thawing
- Assist with daily laboratory cleaning
- Prepare and process blood samples on the in house blood analyzer
- Prepare samples for shipment to outside laboratories
- Communicate with clinic personnel, medical personnel and patients
- Document in clinic EMR
- Perform and document daily, weekly, and monthly laboratory QA/QC
- Perform laboratory equipment checks and required maintenance
- Assist with cleaning and restocking as needed
- Managing supplies of laboratory equipment and consumables
Qualifications & Experience:
- BSc. in Biology or related field
- MLA certification (preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in an andrology lab
- Sound understanding of human physiology
- Excellent microscopy skills
- Experience with basic, automated (CASA), and advanced semen analysis, including morphology assessments
- Experience processing fresh semen samples
- Experience reviewing the release of donor samples
- Knowledge of infection control practices
- Accuracy in both written and spoken English with attention to detail
- Proficient computer skills, and a strong work ethic with the ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- Experience in data entry and record keeping
- Organized and able to multitask and prioritize
- Ability to work independently and seek assistance from other team members as necessary
- Must enjoy learning and interacting with people of all backgrounds
- Experience, willingness and comfort with providing care to LGBT2SQ individuals and couples
- Applicants must be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident, eligible to work in Canada.
Your Schedule:
- Monday-Friday (7:00AM-3:00PM EST) with weekend rotation needed
