Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various medical settings, including hospitals and clinics. Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
- Administer medications as directed by the physician and monitor patient responses.
- Perform basic coding for billing purposes and maintain accurate patient records.
- Conduct routine laboratory tests and assist with X-ray procedures when necessary.
- Support geriatric patients by understanding their unique needs and providing appropriate care.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team in various specialties, including dermatology, internal medicine, hospital medicine, and inpatient care.
Skills
- Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in patient care.
- Knowledge of coding practices for accurate billing processes.
- Experience or familiarity with geriatric care principles.
- Ability to assist with dermatological assessments and treatments.
- Understanding of inpatient care protocols within a hospital setting.
