Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care in various medical settings, including hospitals and clinics. This position requires proficiency in clinical tasks, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Duties

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
Prepare patients for examinations by explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort.
Administer medications as directed by the physician and monitor patient responses.
Perform basic coding for billing purposes and maintain accurate patient records.
Conduct routine laboratory tests and assist with X-ray procedures when necessary.
Support geriatric patients by understanding their unique needs and providing appropriate care.
Collaborate with the healthcare team in various specialties, including dermatology, internal medicine, hospital medicine, and inpatient care.

Skills

Proficiency in taking vital signs and understanding their significance in patient care.
Knowledge of coding practices for accurate billing processes.
Experience or familiarity with geriatric care principles.
Ability to assist with dermatological assessments and treatments.
Understanding of inpatient care protocols within a hospital setting.
Familiarity with X-ray procedures and safety measures.
Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients and healthcare professionals.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
