The Fairfax EggBank, a subsidiary of the Genetics & IVF Institute, is seeking a full-time Marketing Director to effectively grow the donor portfolio, increase brand awareness, promote sales growth, and meet corporate objectives. Success will involve analyzing current efforts and optimizing the strategic marketing plan based on metrics. This role requires an innovative and experienced marketer who is never satisfied with the status quo and strives to stay on top of marketing trends. Qualified candidates are adept in the full 360 approach to marketing and have been intimately involved with building and cultivating a brand, diverse advertising approaches, as well as the technical components of digital marketing.

Responsibilities:
- Develop a robust strategic marketing and communications plan that is directly tied to present and future initiatives.
- Compile, analyze and report on sales and marketing data, providing commentary and insight into product performance by segment, channel, region and key customer groups. Create and publish a monthly business scorecard showing key brand and sales performance indicators. Gather qualitative feedback from cross-functional team partners.
- Facilitate the execution of multiple concurrent marketing initiatives, tracking and managing project or program constraints to meet all key performance indicators including cost, time, scope, quality and goals.
- Build and refine the Fairfax EggBank brand while considering business objectives.
- Utilize demographics and market analysis to assess new areas for growth.
- Vet, negotiate, and pitch advertising opportunities to stakeholders.
- Grow the Fairfax EggBank donor portfolio by utilizing diverse marketing strategies grounded in analytics.
- Create marketing content and collateral across all brand initiatives including website content and blogs (internal and external), feature length articles, print materials, audio advertising, video advertising, social media, and press releases.
- Use SEO best practice principles, content creation strategies, and website infrastructure, to place Fairfax EggBank at the top of search for all identified keywords and phrases.
- Establish a content calendar tied to seasonal trends of the business, goals, and corporate strategy.
- Closely manage vendor relationships with detailed oversight and effectively communicate the brand as well as business goals.
- Monitor and manage marketing budget while evaluating areas for efficiencies.
- Develop digital campaign content and keywords for PPC advertising and leverage digital marketing vendor to execute effectively.
- Manage and explore new opportunities for social media advertising and content along with digital vendors.
- Ensure social media content is on-brand and reaching the target demographic.
- Establish partnerships with like-minded organizations/groups that are aligned in their agendas and develop a plan for relationship building.
- Build a reputation management program incorporating both donors and recipients.
- Lead development and implementation of brand presence at trade shows and external events to engage with and gather insights from key healthcare professionals and consumer target segments.
- Attend conferences and production site meetings when needed.
- Assist with the development of a brand ambassador program for donor recruitment.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated business analysis skills leading to tangible conclusions, potential-based prioritization and plans that achieve desired business objectives.
- Superior written and oral communication skills. Ability to convey complex concepts and strategies, orally and in writing; and to effectively design materials and train staff as appropriate.
- Demonstrated creativity and effectiveness in addressing major strategic challenges.
- Capability to capture and enhance the target market through appropriate tools.
- 5 or more years of experience in the advertising, marketing and communications fields including deep understanding of SEM/SEO best practices, email automation campaigns and software, and digital marketing trends. Experience should include writing websites and business-related blog copy.
- Ability to access, track and analyze data to drive marketing performance – cost efficiencies, volumes, ad hoc deep dives, regular reporting (daily, weekly, monthly), and market support for new products/initiatives
- Experience managing freelance and agency design services.
- Business environment writing experience for all social marketing (Facebook, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Instagram) and a working knowledge of Google Analytics.
- Working knowledge of keywords, keyword ranking, PPC, writing for PPC advertising, and video scripting.
- Experience with Direct-to-Consumer and B2B advertising, brand strategy, and campaign concepts, including display ads, social banners, and Google apps (G-Suite).
Preference may be given for:
-CMS and CRM experience
-Google Adwords certification
-A/B advertising testing experience
-Experience in public relations and writing press releases
-Basic knowledge of the Adobe Suite
-A basic familiarity with Reputation Management
-3+ years professional work experience in related industry (e.g., medical practice, healthcare, pharmaceutical, or biotechnology)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working in a professional business environment
- Exemplary organization and time management capabilities. An individual able to work in a fast-moving environment, adapt at managing multiple initiatives and able to set priorities, and efficiently perform responsibilities.
- Thorough and detail oriented, stellar writing and editing skills, deadline and goal oriented, and excellent ability to communicate effectively in social media.
- Self-motivated, with the ability to multitask and adjust to short deadlines and quick project turnarounds.
