We are looking for a dedicated Self-pay AR Specialist to promote Illume Fertility's core values and commitment to teamwork in all endeavors. This role will have a large emphasis on self-pay AR and problem solving on outstanding patient balances, the member will also support with insurance claims review when appropriate
Responsibilities:

Monitoring outstanding Self-pay AR, working each bucket within the aging AR

Understanding of Self-pay packages for appropriate follow-up with patient
-
Reporting payer issues to leadership and assist in the development of strategies and tactics to address and resolve

Ensure timely follow up on all unpaid patient balances, utilizing monthly aging reports
-
Effective auditing skills to support payment plan implementation
-
Set up accounts for collection activity, including notification letters to patients
-
Work refund request
-
Effective communication abilities for phone contacts with insurance payers or Patients to resolve issues
-
Customer service skills for interacting with patients regarding medical claims and payments
-
Research and resolve any discrepancies, denials, appeals, collections
-
Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness and obtain any missing information
-
Post Online patient payments
-
Process insurance payments when appropriate to balance bill to patient
-
Troubleshoot errors and rejection codes, and correct and re-submit all denied claims
-
Proper notation in ILLUME systems and maintain all documentation required for complaint claim submission

Maintain clear communication with the clinics about overall clinical operations impacting claims processing
-
Update patient accounts, including verification of insurance coverage and changes in patient information, with appropriate documentation.

Maintain the highest degree of ethics when handling patient payments and bill processing

Provide Reporting metrics on outstanding Self-pay AR balances

Meet positional metrics and benchmarks

Follow all department standard operating procedures carefully and accurately

Other duties as assigned by your manager
Qualifications & Requirements:

4-6 years of AR/RCM experience strongly preferred

Infertility RCM expertise considered Ideal
-
Possess a strong working knowledge of insurance benefits, Managed Care policies

Knowledge of CPT/and ICD coding a plus
