The Director of Operations is responsible for the oversight of group care centers in the assigned regional area (Northern New Jersey). This role provides strategic leadership and drives revenue growth of assigned Care Centers. The Director works in collaboration with Physician leadership and support departments to ensure Care Centers deliver excellent care efficiently while creating a great work environment for the team. This role requires a high degree of leadership skills, independence, initiative, sound judgement, multi-site profit and loss management, and follow through on a wide range of sensitive and complex issues. The Director will work both remotely and support centers to support both non-clinical and clinical operations in collaboration with the CMO and VP.
Essential Functions:
Care Center Operations
Evaluate and manage performance of care center managers/administrators.
Identify and implement best practices across all care centers.
Build strong relationships with support teams to enhance operational effectiveness.
Provide leadership and accountability for care center operations and staff.
Monitor patient satisfaction and initiate service improvements as needed.
Supervise office managers/administrators and related staff.
Stay current on industry trends and regulatory requirements (OSHA, HIPAA, CLIA).
Assist in developing annual care center budgets.
Support expense management through group purchasing programs.
Monitor productivity and financial performance; lead corrective action as needed.
Identify staffing and infrastructure needs; review capital requests.
Support onboarding of new practices and capital equipment planning.
Ancillary Services & Referral Streams
Design and support orientation for new physician practices.
Streamline referrals to ancillary services and optimize workflows.
Collaborate with managers on operational and staffing challenges.
Report on performance of ancillary services and identify root causes for changes.
Staff Development
Provide training and mentoring for care center management.
Support leadership growth and professional development.
Ensure effective communication and timely responses (within 24–48 hours).
Lead creation and execution of action plans as needed.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
Strong relationship-building across departments and external partners.
Proven ability in business development and revenue growth.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Health Administration (MHA) or Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
Minimum of 5 years’ leadership experience in healthcare operations or multisite practice management.
Pay or shift range: $130k to $170k
The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.
