Responsibilities:
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the general supervision of the Human Resources- (HR Manager, the HR Generalist will support the HR manager with the day-to-day operations of the human resources department by completing a variety of tasks. The HR Generalist will work with other members of the department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for employees.
Essential Job Functions:
Manages the PPMNJ Volunteer Program
Review, track, document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, including CAL training, anti-discrimination training, professional licensure, credentialing, certifications,etc.
Assists with the maintenance and processing of all Unemployment Notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner. Attends unemployment hearings when necessary.
Assists with recruitment tasks as needed (reviews applications, interviews).
Assists with managing Employees accruals. Reports vacation, sick, personal day and holiday use to payroll and scheduling. Maintains and distributes report of same.
Assists with I-9 Audits to Ensure compliance with USCIS Form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification.
Assists with monitoring employee performance evaluations process and ensures they are done in a timely manner (i.e., three months, six months, one year and yearly thereafter).
Partners with HR staff to continually enhance HR processes and support the role of the HR department.
Answers frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.; refers more complex questions to appropriate senior-level HR staff or management
Assist with creating and maintaining employee files and performs periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
Assists Benefit Administrator with the employee recognition programs including, but not limited to birthdays, anniversaries etc. letters, gift cards and notifications.
Assists with preparation of new hire orientation and ensure that all employee information is entered in the payroll/HRIS system accurately and in a timely manner.
Orders and ensures that all HR compliance bulletins are posted in all locations in a timely and appropriate manner.
Assists with planning and execution of special events such as HR initiatives, organization-wide meetings, and employee recognition events.
Utilizes systems to run HR related reports and manager applicant in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS)
Maintains current knowledge of developments in the HR field, including technology, legal updates, and compliance with State, Federal and PPFA guidelines.
Performs other duties as assigned in support of mission and as required to ensure delivery of consistent high-quality services.
Assists the HR Manager with other special projects.
Ensure all preemployment or onboarding tasks are completed before hiring and onboarding including conducting Office of Inspector General (OIG) checks before hiring and annually for all PPMNJ employees and vendors (if applicable).

- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems (Lever, paychex, etc).
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or an associate degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least one year of human resource management, business management or related experience preferred.
- SHRM-CP certification or other HR certification is a plus.
OSHA Category:

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
