Your day at Ferring
Procurement Strategy & Management
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with global objectives.
- Collaborate with key divisions (MTS, SNO, GMN, GQA, Regulatory, etc.) to ensure effective execution of site strategies.
- Promote early procurement involvement in projects to optimize sourcing outcomes.
- Share best practices and provide solutions to enhance procurement services.
Sourcing & Vendor Management
- Execute sourcing processes, including market analysis, RFI/RFP execution, and proposal evaluation.
- Negotiate contracts to achieve cost savings, optimize commercial terms, and improve cash flow.
- Implement risk mitigation strategies for short-, mid-, and long-term vendor management.
- Monitor supplier performance, leveraging data to identify risks and drive continuous improvement.
- Introduce tools and processes to enhance vendor accountability and contract compliance.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendor and category management.
- Improve contract coverage and develop dual sourcing strategies.
Continuous Improvement & Reporting
- Drive procurement efficiency through best practices and process enhancements.
- Ensure accurate and timely reporting of cost savings and procurement impact.
- Support ESG initiatives and supplier-enabled innovation.
Behind our innovation…There’s you
- Degree in Science education or related
- 3-5 years of experience in Procurement management (pharmaceutical R&D or manufacturing environment ).
- Category expertise a major plus, R&D: CRO, Central Labs, Analytical Labs, clinical trial supply, Lab Supplies and Equipment, etc.
- Strong communication, influencing and mentoring skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Experienced in working with SAP/ Oracle (is a plus)
- Experience in dealing with commercial contracts.Experience in project management & Ability to work in a dynamic environment with multiple projects / worksteams and changing requirements
- Strong skills with Microsft office package
- Ability to represent Ferring's interests to outside professionals and suppliers.
- Comprehensive understanding of Procurement processes and knowledge of best practices for sourcing, supplier management and procure-to-pay.
