Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated
Obstetrics/Gynecology (OB/GYN) Physician to join our team and provide high-quality healthcare to patients. This role involves monitoring reproductive health, delivering babies, managing chronic conditions, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients.
- Monitor patients during prenatal, natal, and postnatal periods.
- Conduct diagnostic tests and prescribe medications or treatments as necessary.
- Perform deliveries, ensuring the safety and well-being of mother and baby.
- Participate in developing and reviewing clinic policies and services.
- Deliver both outpatient and in-hospital medical care.
- Maintain accurate charting and documentation.
- Manage patient cases, including chronic conditions, and coordinate with specialists as needed.
- Adhere to medical and administrative protocols and ethical standards.
- Consult with the Medical Director regarding patient care management.
- Actively participate in clinic staff meetings to improve services.
- Serve as a preceptor for medical students and Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant programs.
- Support nursing staff and assist in implementing policies and procedures.
- Rotate between health clinic locations as needed.
- Assist in audits to meet state and federal regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Education: Doctorate degree (MD/DO) in Medicine.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in Gynecology and Obstetrics & Gynecology.
- Certifications/Licenses:
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA ACLS)
- Medical Doctor (MD) license in California (CA)
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (AHA BLS)
- Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) Certification
- Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) License
- Board Certification: OB/GYN Board Certified or Board Eligible.
- Supervisory Skills: Previous supervisory experience or willingness to take on supervisory responsibilities.
- Schedule Commitment: Willing to work Monday-Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM, with occasional weekends and 5-6 on-call days per month.
