Responsibilities
Job Summary:
This role will drive strategic initiatives, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and ensure the successful execution of business objectives to drive growth and profitability in the region. This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive sales leadership experience in the healthcare specifically with Medical Devices in Hospital, ASC and Office settings with an OBGYN focus, the pharmaceutical industry and a deep understanding of Canadian healthcare regulations and market dynamics.
Essential Functions & Accountabilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to drive business growth and achieve market leadership in Canada. Identify market trends, opportunities, and potential risks to inform strategic decision-making. Define short-term and long-term objectives aligned with corporate goals and market demands.
- Market Expansion: Lead efforts to expand our presence in existing markets and explore opportunities for entry into new segments or regions within Canada. Develop and implement market entry strategies, including partnerships, and acquisitions. Lead the launch of new CSI products in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, partners, industry associations, and government agencies. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and other relevant forums. Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise internal teams on implications for product development and commercialization strategies.
- Sales and Marketing: Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies to promote CSI products and achieve revenue targets. Drive sales growth by developing and executing effective sales strategies, managing key accounts, and identifying new business opportunities. Collaborate with the sales team to ensure the achievement of revenue targets and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials, educational campaigns, and KOL engagement initiatives. Monitor sales performance and market trends to adjust strategies as needed and capitalize on growth opportunities.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and mentor a high-performing team of sales professionals. Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement development plans to maximize team productivity and effectiveness.
- Operational Excellence: Oversee all aspects of Sales Leadership in Canada. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. The organization functions as a matrix organization.
- Financial Management: Develop and manage the annual Sales budget for Canada, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and financial targets. Monitor financial performance, pricing strategy and discipline and be comfortable analyzing variances, and take corrective actions as needed to achieve profitability goals. Optimize resource utilization and cost-efficiency to maximize profitability while maintaining quality standards and compliance.
Travel:
- Up to 75%; primarily domestic within Canada
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Strong understanding of the Canadian healthcare environment with an emphasis on Women’s Health, including market dynamics, and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of the OBGYN market with experience managing Sales Representatives selling in to Offices, Clinics, Hospitals and Operating Rooms.
- Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve common goals.
- Excellent strategic planning and execution skills, with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans and deliver results.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication capabilities, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Solid financial acumen and experience managing budgets, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Adaptability, resilience, and a growth mindset, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Work Environment:
- Hybrid and Field Sales Setting (frequent travel with Field Sales Reps and at Customer/Clinic/Hospital settings).
Experience:
- Minimum of 10+ years of Sales management experience managing direct reports within the Canadian Market.
- Demonstrated experience in driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships, and managing key accounts.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.

For U.S. locations that require disclosure of compensation, the starting base pay for this role is between $140,000 - $160,000 CAD, with a total earnings potential of up to $189,000 CAD at target. The actual base pay includes many factors, and is subject to change and modification in the future. This position may also be eligible for other types of compensation and benefits.
