Patient care:
- Provide comprehensive care for high-risk pregnancies, including preconception counseling and postpartum care.
- Monitor the health of both the mother and the fetus.
- Manage complex maternal conditions, such as pre-existing medical or surgical diseases.
- Develop and execute individualized, evidence-based care plans.
  - Team and patient collaboration:
    - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care.
    - Communicate complex medical information with empathy and sensitivity to patients and their families.
  - Administration and education:
    - Participate in the planning and administration of perinatal care services.
    - Educate and train medical students, residents, and other healthcare staff.
    - Participate in research, clinical audits, and stay current with advancements in the field.
