Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Anaesthesia professional to support surgical and reproductive health procedures in a specialized fertility center. This role ensures patient safety and comfort during critical interventions such as IVF/ICSI, egg retrieval, and embryo transfer, requiring precision, clinical expertise, and seamless teamwork. Responsibilities
- Administer general, regional, and local anesthesia safely and effectively for surgical and reproductive procedures.
- Conduct pre-anesthesia assessments to evaluate patient health and anesthesia risks.
- Monitor vital signs continuously during procedures and respond to complications promptly.
- Collaborate with gynecologists, reproductive endocrinologists, and surgical teams on anesthesia planning.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols for documentation, equipment, and infection control.
- Participate in emergency drills and maintain ACLS certification.
- Educate patients on anesthesia procedures, recovery, and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate records in electronic health records (EHR).
- Support donor programs and cryopreservation procedures with appropriate anesthesia management.
Requirements
- MBBS with postgraduate qualification in Anaesthesia (MD/DM or equivalent).
- Valid NMC and state medical council registration.
- Proficiency in anesthesia techniques, including intubation, IV access, and monitoring.
- Training or experience in gynecological and fertility procedures (IVF/ICSI, egg retrieval, embryo transfer).
- Understanding of infertility protocols and their impact on anesthesia planning.
- Familiarity with cryopreservation timelines and donor program procedures.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills under pressure.
- Commitment to continuous learning and adherence to clinical best practices.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and on-call duties.
