Description:
VPFW is looking for a full-time OBGYN Scheduler to serve as first point of contact for incoming calls. In this position, you will assist patients with scheduling and rescheduling, identify and resolve patient needs and make outbound calls for rescheduling appointments. This position is located in-office within our call center department at the VPFW Koger Center location - 1212 Koger Center Blvd.
Requirements:
Essential Functions:

Responds promptly and professionally to a large volume of telephone and messaging inquiries from patients, assisting patients with scheduling, rescheduling and other issues as needed.

Manages a combination of inbound and outbound calls in quantity of 75 - 120 patient calls per day.

Verifies and updates patient demographics, insurance eligibility, and follows appointment protocols during scheduling.

Monitors and responds to patient communications through Klara, our text-based platform.

Maintains up-to-date knowledge of provider schedule preferences, appointment types and practice protocols.

Provides backup support to the front desk team, including greeting, checking patients in and out, and collecting payments.

Maintain regular and predictable attendance.

Proficiency in composing clear and professional communications to patients via our text-based platform, Klara.

Assesses inquiries and challenges with good judgment and clear communication to assure appropriate response.

Strong problem-solving skills with sound judgment to resolve patient inquiries and scheduling challenges.

Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage a fast-paced, high-volume workload with accuracy and attention to detail.

Proficiency in medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR), and scheduling systems.

Ability to coordinate and cross-reference multiple physician schedules across various specialties.
Education and Experience:

At least 1-2 years of customer service experience.

Previous medical front office experience strongly preferred.

OBGYN experience a plus.

Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) a plus.

High school diploma or equivalent.
