Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Ultrasonographer to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations, ensuring high-quality imaging while providing exceptional patient care. This role requires a thorough understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and sonography techniques, particularly in the fields of obstetrics and gynecology (Ob/Gyn). The Ultrasonographer will play a critical role in assisting physicians with accurate diagnoses through effective imaging.

Duties

Conduct ultrasound examinations on patients, ensuring the highest quality of images for diagnostic purposes.
Utilize medical imaging equipment and maintain its functionality by performing routine checks and troubleshooting as necessary.
Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and ensuring their comfort throughout the examination.
Apply aseptic techniques to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to interpret ultrasound results and contribute to patient care plans.
Maintain accurate records of patient information, imaging results, and any relevant medical history.
Stay updated on advancements in sonography and diagnostic radiology practices to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements

Proficient knowledge of medical terminology related to anatomy and diagnostic imaging.
Experience in performing ultrasound examinations, particularly in Ob/Gyn settings is preferred.
Strong understanding of anatomy knowledge to accurately assess images.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on empathy and communication.
Ability to operate ultrasound equipment effectively while adhering to safety protocols.
Familiarity with aseptic techniques in a clinical environment is advantageous.
Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare team members.

Pay: $1,435.09 - $1,728.28 per week
