Salary: The budgeted salary range for the position is $300,000 to $350,000. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.

Position Summary
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) specialist for a full-time, open rank faculty position. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and growing MFM division dedicated to excellence in clinical care, education, and research. Responsibilities include providing consultative and co-managed care for high-risk obstetrical patients, performing prenatal diagnostic procedures, participating in the education of medical students, residents, and fellows, and contributing to ongoing clinical and/or translational research. Academic rank and track will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Duties & Responsibilities

Provide on-site and off-site Maternal-Fetal Medicine clinical coverage as an attending physician, including high-risk obstetric consultations and patient management.

Serve as attending physician for on-site and off-site obstetrical sonography services, including interpretation and supervision of ultrasound studies.

Perform ambulatory MFM procedures such as amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), fetal echocardiography, and cerclage.

Provide in-house supervision and education of MFM fellows during their Labor and Delivery rotation.

Cover antepartum hospital service as the attending physician, coordinating multidisciplinary care for medically complex patients.

Participate in out-of-hospital call coverage for MFM consults and maternal transports (note: no in-house night call is required).

Conduct didactic sessions for medical students, OB/GYN residents, and MFM fellows as part of the department’s education program.

Mentor learners and junior faculty in clinical practice, medical education, and research, fostering academic and professional development.

Participate in maternal morbidity and mortality case reviews, including interdisciplinary rounds at affiliated network hospitals.

Engage in quality improvement, research, and academic service as aligned with individual interests and departmental needs.

Perform other related duties and contribute to departmental or institutional special projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree (or equivalent international medical degree)

Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology (or the international equivalent)

Completion of an ACGME-accredited fellowship in Maternal-Fetal Medicine (or the international equivalent)

Board certified or board eligible in both Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine

Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in the State of Illinois
