We are seeking a Full-Time Operating Room Nurse to join our Ambulatory Surgery Center team at our River North location (361 W Chestnut St, Chicago, IL 60610). The pay range for this position is $38–$44/hr.
As an Operating Room Nurse, you will provide skilled, compassionate care across all surgical phases including pre-op, intra-op, and post-op. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team performing outpatient fertility-related procedures in a modern ambulatory surgery center. Your leadership, clinical expertise, and ability to maintain a calm, supportive presence make a lasting impact on patients during one of the most meaningful days of their lives.
Deliver high-quality patient care throughout the perioperative period
Scrub and circulate for fertility-related surgeries and minimally invasive procedures
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and support staff to ensure seamless care
Perform comprehensive assessments pre- and post-procedure
Maintain accurate documentation in the EMR system
Assist with patient education, recovery monitoring, and discharge processes
Maintain infection control, patient safety, and sterile field standards
Participate in staff meetings, quality improvement, and clinical process development
Support patient comfort and emotional well-being in a fast-paced surgical setting
Current Illinois RN license in good standing
Graduate of an accredited nursing program
BLS certification required; ACLS certification required (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
1–2 years of Operating Room or PACU experience preferred
Experience in reproductive health or ambulatory surgery a plus
Strong communication, time-management, and critical-thinking skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical team
COVID-19 vaccination required (or approved exemption)
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with core hours between 6:30 AM and 3:00 PM. 2 rotating weekend shifts per month are required.
