Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Experienced Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the front office operations, ensuring a smooth workflow for patients and staff alike. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of medical terminology and office management practices.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
Schedule appointments and manage the medical calendar using scheduling software.
Verify patient insurance information and demographics.
Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize electronic health record systems such as Athena and Phreesia.
Assist with medical collections and follow up on outstanding balances.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in medical office administration is a plus.
Proven experience in a hospital or clinical setting preferred.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, and insurance verification processes.
Proficiency in office management tasks including scheduling and patient record maintenance.
Familiarity with electronic health record systems such as Athena and Phreesia is highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
Must be able to do a rotating schedule. Hours would be 7-3, 8-4 and 11-7. Saturday's will be rotating.
Must be able to commute to our Buffalo Grove office as needed.
