Overview:
IMT Matcher™ is a product from Matcher Technologies Ltd., a medical technology company that develops, implements and supports quality management systems for the assisted reproductive technology (ART) industry worldwide.
Our main product, IMT Matcher, is a quality management system specifically created for the fertility sector, to help prevent errors through misidentification of patients, donors and their gametes, and embryos. IMT Matcher also helps customers provide traceability, ensures regulatory compliance, and assists their operations to enhance and optimise outcomes.
The IMT Matcher system comprises software and networked IT hardware, within the fertility centre laboratories, cryo stores, operating rooms, and product storage areas. Matcher delivers major benefits to all users, including the embryologists, laboratory directors, quality managers, doctors, nurses, and administration staff.
We are seeking an experienced and driven Head of Sales and Marketing for a key leadership role. The successful candidate will be accountable for achieving our revenue and pipeline development targets, as well as having accountability for the ownership and delivery of our Sales and Marketing plan. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in global sales, driving business growth in a fast-paced environment. They will have experience leading cross-functional sales and marketing teams. The role reports directly to the CEO and entails leading a globally distributed team of sales and marketing professionals. You will be accountable for driving their productivity and supporting their ongoing development.
To support all the areas of responsibility, the successful candidate will be required to travel internationally, typically up to a week per month, mostly to attend international industry events.
Main responsibilities:
Global Sales Management, Brand Management and Revenue Generation
- Own the annual sales and marketing plan based on company revenue targets
- Oversee the delivery of the sales plan and company revenue targets
- Identify new markets and revenue streams for our product and develop strategies for penetration and to accelerate growth
- Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities within our existing customer base and lead the team to capitalise on these
- Identify threats relating to our existing customer base and to our target market so these can be mitigated
- Ensure brand recognition and reputation in the market is maintained and grown through marketing activities relevant to the market
- Regularly monitor the satisfaction and performance of our customer base
- Oversee the development of our prospect pipeline
Distribution Acquisition and Management
- Acquire new distribution opportunities in each territory
- Approve prospective distributors suitable to promote and sell Matcher who will be identified and pre-qualified by our regional Sales Managers
- Oversee the progress of our distributors through the stages of our distributor pipeline
- Oversee the performance of our distribution network
Team Leadership & Expansion
- Provide leadership and line management to the Sales and Marketing teams (currently 5 staff but expanding), fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, innovation, and excellence
- Identify skills gaps and oversee the hiring and onboarding of new team members to support business growth
- Develop and mentor team members to achieve their potential and contribute effectively to the company’s goals
- Ensure clear cross-functional communication, promoting a shared vision for company success
Sales & Marketing Policies and Customer management
- Own sales and marketing policies and frameworks to maintain consistency in all regions
- Work closely with our Service and Support team and Development Team to enhance collaboration and communication, ensuring relationships with customers are closely maintained and monitored
Management Information & Reporting
- Provide regular departmental management information to the CEO and other team leaders, offering insights into performance, progress and risks
- Develop and maintain reporting mechanisms to track key metrics, such as revenue, number of new distributors and end user sites won
- Utilise data analytics to inform strategic decision-making and enhance the effectiveness of your role
Essential experience:
- A BA Hons degree (or equivalent) in business or a BSc degree (or equivalent) in biology or a related field
- Minimum 10 years recent experience in sales or distribution management roles post-graduation
- Numerate, good mental arithmetic, and previous exposure to structured pricing models
- Professional and confident communication style
- Fluency in English
- Ability to travel internationally on a monthly basis
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proven experience demonstrating IMT Matcher’s core values: responsiveness, quality of outputs, collaboration and integrity
Desirable experience:
- MBA (or equivalent)
- Proficiency in additional languages
- Experience in the IVF market
- Experience in distribution management
- Experience in dealing with international markets
