Fairfax EggBank, a subsidiary of the Genetics & IVF Institute, is seeking a full-time Laboratory Logistics Specialist for our Fairfax EggBank division at our headquarters in Fairfax, VA.

Responsibilities include:
- Coordinating outbound and inbound frozen egg shipments to affiliated laboratories
- Verifying for accuracy the requisite shipping paperwork
- Managing and being primarily responsible for both outbound and inbound shipments (FedEx)
- Daily preparing and packing 35 lb. shipping containers for shipment and receiving
- Inventory inbound shipments
- Primarily responsible for QA/QC measures of shipping containers
- Daily maintenance of shipping containers
- Maintaining accurate record keeping and filing
- Manage shipping supply inventory
- Other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Prior experience with inventory tracking systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, etc.) is beneficial; open to training motivated candidates
- Bachelor’s Degree in the sciences strongly preferred with other prior shipping or administrative experience
- Relevant shipping or administrative experience required
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work independently
- General computer proficiency is essential
- Comfortable learning and adapting to new software tools
