California Fertility Clinic is currently seeking to hire a full--time IVF Clinical Nurse.
California Fertility Clinic (CFC) and Tree of Life Center (TLC), with locations on Miracle Mile in Los Angeles and in Tarzana, are boutique medical practices offering a full range of professional services to patients suffering from infertility. Our Board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologist coordinate a team that treats patients and couples in a supportive, VIP setting. The underlying philosophy is that the best chance to successfully have a healthy child occurs when high-level medical care is combined with genuine heartfelt emotional support. TLC and CFC therefore treats all patients as family, and welcomes patients into a special, caring, customized environment where our entire team focuses on helping each individual patient.
Job Responsibilities Include:
- Chinese Mandarin translation
- Assist with morning monitoring hours providing clinical care and physician support.
- Act as clinical liaison between physicians and patients.
- Provide patient education about upcoming treatment protocols and infertility medications, including instruction during small patient group setting. Teaching IVF class or injection class.
- Assist in operating room during egg retrievals, embryo transfers, hysteroscopies, D&C’s, and all other on-site surgical procedures.
- IV insertion and phlebotomy as needed.
- Provide patient care in the recovery room.
- Assist with FDA, State License and AAAASF organization, maintain compliance and assist with inspections.
- Perform prescription pre-authorizations.
- Assist during daily patient result meeting, charting of labs and creating clinical schedule, and perform patient instruction call-backs.
- Assist physicians with patient records and documentation, as well as facilitate all patient orders for outside testing.
- Assist clinical team with resolving conflicts and coordinate patient care with patient satisfaction in mind.
- Organize schedules of clinical departments including all new hires as well as nurse practitioners and physician assistants.
- Facilitate and achieve compliance with CA Dept of Health, to acquire and maintain state license for surgical practice.
- Administrative responsibilities within clinical department including, but not limited to, quality control studies, organizing and running clinical meetings, and creation of policies as needed.
- Organize schedules of clinical departments new hires as well as nurse practitioners and physician assistants and medical assistants.
- Coordinates all aspects of the clinical team, including scheduling; stocking of supplies; maintaining and developing documentation records, consent forms, and all other paperwork necessary for clinical functionality; meeting the clinical needs of physicians and patients.
- Maintains clinical supplies inventory by studying usage reports; identifying trends; anticipating needs; approving costs and competitive pricing with various vendors.
- Maintains a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information; responding to requests; building rapport; participating in team problem-solving methods. Maintains a calm and professional demeanor.
- Maintain OR records, supplies, medications as required by applicable regulations.
- Is familiar with sterilization process and guidelines.
- Meets and communicates with State, Federal, and AAAASF during site visits, whether scheduled or unscheduled.
- Interfaces with laboratory and administrative staff as necessary for clinical and office functionality.
Requirements:
- Fluent in Chinese Mandarin
- LVN degree or MA from an accredited program
- Experience in staff management
- Current CA license
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, innately compassionate, high emotional intelligence
- Able to multi-task, manage a busy workload while remaining calm under pressure
- Able to function well among team members as well as work well independently
- Reliable and punctual, good work ethic
- Knowledge of OSHA, FDA, HIPAA compliance
- Current CPR/BLS/ACLS certification

Hours/Schedule: * Seeking a candidate for immediate hire
- Hours TBD: Wednesday and Friday start time is 6:00am. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday 8am start. 40-hour per week position. During some weeks hours may exceed 40 hours due to coverage requirements and patient needs.
- On call responsibility for patient questions after-hours, in rotation with other clinical team members.
- Weekend and holiday coverage as needed, within rotation
