We are seeking an Experienced Financial Coordinator with prior IVF financial coordination experience to join our team.
Job Summary:
The Financial Coordinator plays a vital role in assisting patients with financial planning for fertility treatments. This position requires prior experience in a fertility clinic and involves reviewing treatment costs, verifying insurance coverage, coordinating payment plans, and ensuring compliance with clinic policies. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, excellent patient communication skills, and a solid understanding of fertility treatment billing and insurance processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide patients with clear and accurate cost estimates for IVF and fertility treatments.
- Verify insurance benefits and coverage for fertility services, ensuring patients understand their financial obligations.
- Assist patients with financing options, payment plans, and third-party financing resources.
- Contact patients to collect payments or inform the billing department of the amount to be collected.
- Process payments, track outstanding balances, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Work closely with the billing team to ensure accurate claims submission and timely reimbursement.
- Explain financial policies and answer patient inquiries regarding costs, insurance, and payment plans.
- Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to enhance the patient experience.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Financial Coordinator or Biller in a fertility clinic is required.
- Strong knowledge of insurance verification, claims processing, and medical billing for fertility treatments.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information to patients.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records (EMR) systems.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with third-party reproduction financial coordination (surrogacy, egg donation).
- Familiarity with fertility-specific insurance policies and financial assistance programs.
- Bilingual skills are a plus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $28.00 - $30.00 per hour
