Position Description
Qualifications
- Current registration with the College of Nurse of Ontario required, AND
- Practical Nursing Diploma from an accredited college program with evidence of IV medication administration as part of the basic educational curriculum
OR
- Practical Nursing Diploma from an accredited college program and IV medication administration certificate from an accredited college program if this content was not included in the basic diploma educational curriculum
OR
- Practical Nursing Certificate from an accredited college program, a medication administration certificate and an IV medication administration certificate from an accredited college program
- Must have operating room nursing certificate.
- Minimum of 1-year current O.R. experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have recent experience in ophthalmology surgery.
- Laser certification would be an asset.
- Familiarity with HSM, OR and/or basic computer competencies.
- Demonstrates ability to function effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Demonstrates ability to function in emergency and highly stressful situations.
- Good attendance and work record is essential.
- A resume regarding further education, special courses and experience should accompany the application.
- Successful candidates may be required to work in the Operating Room - Charlton Campus.
Wage Rate
Hourly: $35.12....$36.64....$38.16 (plus 14% in lieu of benefits)
