Job Description: Trillium Health Partners is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Women’s and Children’s Program. The Project Manager within the Women’s and Children’s will work collaboratively to lead exciting, transformative initiatives, processes and best practices across THP, designed to achieve the goals identified in the hospital’s strategic plan. This includes driving success on strategic projects for the W & C program, including building upon our recent Hospital Information System (EPIC) implementation, Master Plan redevelopment, development of key strategic projects for the WC program. The individual will all work with all THP leaders as we develop an antiracism culture.
Job Description
- Lead strategy management process including planning, coordination and communication related to strategy development and the annual business planning cycle
- Enable integrated project delivery by taking a systems-approach to planning, decision-making, risk management for projects in W & C portfolio.
- Create and write materials including briefing notes, PowerPoint presentations and proposals.
- Working with W & C’s administrative support to organize meetings related to the projects.
- Oversee all elements of integrated project approach and plan development, as well as implementing all necessary processes and practices to ensure the W & C portfolio is delivering on project objectives and successfully achieving the project's goals;
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the governance structure established to oversee the project’s deliverables;
- Support multi-disciplinary project team through all phases of the project life cycle, providing coaching, motivation and guidance throughout the duration of projects
- Support strategic plan and major projects performance and status reporting to all levels of the organization
- Engage and communicate with stakeholders on an ongoing basis and ensure changing resource and project requirements are met and understood;
- Monitor and report on progress, problems and solutions of the project to all stakeholders and escalate issues as appropriate;
- Participate in the creation and delivery of innovative presentations and proposals to all levels of the organization, including senior management, Board of Directors and external audiences;
- Lead development of in-house project management knowledge and best practices;
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including regional, provincial and/or private sector partners to ensure the successful completion of project deliverables
Qualifications
- THP is committed to internal talent, and therefore priority will be given to internal applicants.
- Undergraduate degree in business, life sciences, health informatics or related discipline required
- Master’s degree in public administration, business administration, or healthcare administration or equivalent experience required
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in project management in healthcare environments such as hospitals, government or private sector required
- Project Management Professional (PMP) designation an asset
- Strong understanding of the hospital’s strategic plan
- Strong leadership, adaptability, interpersonal and collaboration skills are essential for this role, including the ability to build strong relationships
- Experience with project management processes and best practices, as well as corporate level reporting
- Excellent organizational, time management and project management skills
- Demonstrated ability to multi task and prioritize tasks effectively
- Superior analytical and problem solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs of senior leaders
- Demonstrated effectiveness at leading and working with teams, including supporting collaborative design of products with cross-functional groups
- Experience organizing and facilitating large executive level retreats with multiple stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to develop effective and comprehensive reports and presentations for various audiences, including executives, administrators and clinicians
- This position will include work from home and on-site work in the near-term due to COVID-19, and may require on-site work and work at off-site partner locations in the future as we return to normal operations. In addition, to working at any of THPs locations as required.
Location:
We offer employees, in roles that are conducive to remote work, the flexibility and the right mix of remote and in-office work (approximately 80/20). Acknowledging that the primary works space will be remote work from home, but there will be times when onsite presence is appropriate just as there will be times when onsite presence may not be possible.
The expectation is that remote work locations, as part of the Flex First program, will be in the employee’s place of residence, and adhere to all THP policies and procedures, with special consideration towards privacy. Since employees should be available to return to the workplace with 24 hours’ notice, remote work outside of the province or country is not acceptable.
