LRHS is looking for a Licensed
General/Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to perform abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular studies, Breast Registry preferred.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Performs all requested ultrasound examinations as ordered by the attending physician
- Prepares preliminary reports and contact referring physicians when required
- Coordinates with other staff to assure appropriate patient care is provided
- Address patient problems as they arise & make decisions to appropriately resolve the issue
- Organizes daily work schedules and performs related clerical duties as required
- Assume responsibility for the safety and well-being of all patients in the ultrasound area
- Report equipment failure to the appropriate individual
- Provide in-service education on requirements of ultrasound procedures as requested by other members of the health care team
- Must be familiar with basic abdominal, OB/GYN and vascular pathologies in order to recognize and identify abnormalities
- Explain procedures to patients
- Help care for and maintain equipment

Qualifications/Requirements
- Graduated from an Accredited Ultrasound program
- Active certification by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) strongly preferred
- RDMS and RVT strongly preferred
- Currently compliant with required continuing education
- PRN, Varied Shifts with Varied Hours
- Annual influenza vaccine required.
