Job Summary
Midwife+Co is a modern boutique style hospital based midwifery practice offering both in hospital and out of hospital births to women in the DFW area. We have offices located in Dallas and Fort Worth along with a birthing center located in Fort Worth.

Midwife+Co Dallas is seeking a full-time registered nurse who is motivated to provide an incredible experience to our patients. Our ideal candidate is a registered nurse with experience in a fast-paced medical office setting, is intrinsically motivated, upbeat, personable, team oriented and passionate about midwifery care.
Responsibilities
- Answers nurse phone calls and responds promptly to patient inquiries, ensuring clear communication and continuity of care.
- Performs incision checks and blood pressure checks as directed, accurately documenting findings and communicating results to the provider.
- Responds to patients via portal messages in a timely, professional, and compassionate manner.
- Transcribes medical records with accuracy and attention to detail to ensure completeness and compliance with documentation standards.
- Submits and manages referrals to outside providers, tracking progress and ensuring follow-up as needed.
- Monitors and responds to incoming faxes, ensuring that information is routed appropriately and handled in a timely manner.
- Conducts TOLAC (Trial of Labor After Cesarean) follow-up calls to ensure continuity of care, patient support, and accurate documentation.
- Safeguards patient information and upholds confidentiality by accurately completing medical records and adhering to HIPAA and privacy regulations.
- Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following established protocols, policies, and legal regulations.
- Upholds the standards and reputation of the practice by adhering to professional and facility policies, as well as all applicable federal, state, and local requirements.
- Contributes to the overall success of the team by taking ownership of responsibilities, embracing new opportunities, and seeking ways to add value to the practice.
- Helps patients by providing information, services, and assistance in a compassionate and professional manner.
- Prepares patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical assessments, including taking vital signs such as blood pressure, weight, and temperature, and by documenting and reporting patient history summaries, as needed.
- Supports clinical efficiency and procedure timeliness by assisting providers during office procedures, as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for 30 minutes at a time or longer.
- Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly with all English-speaking employees and customers.
Skills
- Proven experience with EMR/EHR systems including eClinical Works, Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth or similar platforms.
- Previous experience in midwifery/obstetrics and gynecology preferred
- Labor and delivery background strongly preferred
