Vanderbilt Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is seeking 3-4 Certified Nurse-Midwives with a minimum of 5 years high-risk experience for an integrated teaching role in our Maternal Special Care Unit (OB triage) and Labor & Delivery at Vanderbilt University Hospital to cover our rapidly growing inpatient services. The selected candidates will receive a faculty appointment in the School of Medicine, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Division of Generalist Division. Consideration for a 0.75 or 1.0 FTE, (18-24 shifts in 8 weeks; avg 2-3 per week).
These positions will include covering Labor & Delivery or OB triage, attending births with our OBGYN residents, seeing patients of all risk levels in OB triage, postpartum rounding, and newborn circumcisions. Responsibilities will also include teaching of residents, medical and midwifery students. 12-hour shifts only (no 24 hr calls). Weekends and shared holiday rotations should also be expected. Candidates must be willing to train here to obtain & maintain circumcision privileges. Highly supportive MD, nursing and administrative colleagues.
