EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY:
We are a high volume Perinatology office searching for a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer to join our team. In this position you will work beside other skilled sonographers and perform high risk obstetric sonographic exams for interpretation by the physician.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high risk Perinatal obstetrical sonographic exams, including, but not limited to; first trimester, Nuchal Translucency, detailed anatomy in the second and third trimesters, transvaginal cervical exams, Fetal and Maternal Doppler studies, and biophysical profiles.
 - Educate patients/families on procedures to be performed
 - Perform appropriate sonographic exams according to protocol and AIUM guidelines and record anatomic and pathologic findings for interpretation by the physician.
 - Review clinical information, including relevant personal and family history, exposures, and other risk factors.
 - Create sonographic preliminary reports in Sonultra PACS system with timely and efficient documentation.
 - Work proficiently on the Phillips Epiq 7W ultrasound machine.
 - Under the direction of the lead sonographer; work efficiently and in a courteous team-spirited fashion. Ability to work well both independently and with all co-workers and department personnel
 
Education:
Graduation from a CAAHEP accredited sonography program is preferred.
The position is also open to those currently enrolled in a CAAHEP accredited sonography program.
Required:
- RDMS certification, including OB/GYN (for non-student candidates only)
 - Two years’ experience performing Ob/Gyn sonographic exams; preferably at least one year MFM experience (for non-student candidates only)
 - If applying as a sonography student, candidate must provide documentation of passing the SPI examination upon hire, the OB specialty must be passed within 12 months of hire.
