Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team per diem on weekends. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care and administrative support, with experience in reproductive medicine. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to our patients while ensuring smooth operations within a boutique clinic.

Duties

Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and safe environment.
Perform intake procedures, including taking vital signs and documenting patient history.
Administer medications as prescribed and assist with treatment plans.
Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) and ensure compliance with medical terminology standards.
Provide medical administrative support, including scheduling appointments and managing patient communications.
Conduct basic life support (BLS) as needed and respond to emergencies in accordance with protocols.
Utilize knowledge of anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medical-surgical practices to enhance patient care quality.
Support procedures in specialized areas such as clinic procedures and operating room (OR) environments.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Medical Assistant or similar role in healthcare settings.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and ICD coding.
Familiarity with EHR systems for accurate documentation and patient management.
Basic life support certification is required; additional certifications in specialized areas are a plus.
Excellent patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations.
Spanish Speaking
Experience in women's health with reproductive medicine preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism under pressure.
