FEXPERIENCED front desk receptionist. We are a small private practice office that specializes in aesthetics and GYN care in Johns Creek.
The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service and is a team player. Your role is not just as an integral team member, but also to strengthen our relationship with patients. Must have excellent attention to detail, work well in a fast-paced, team environment and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Responsibilities Include:
- Check In/Check Out
- Greet patients upon arrival
- Obtain and update patient demographics
- Collect co-payments and balances
- Check patients out and make follow up appointments as indicated
- Accurately schedule appointments for medical and cosmetic appointments in our practice management system
- Insurance
- Verify patient insurance benefits
- Knowledge of medical insurance and able to accurately update demographic/insurance information
- Assist patient in understanding their insurance explanation of benefits (EOB) and collect patient responsibility
- Document Management
- Scan and file pertinent patient information into EMR
- Submit referrals to subspecialists with pertinent clinical information
- Authorize insurance referrals when required by insurance
- Process medical records requests and releases
- Process incoming referrals
- Phone triage
- Answer all patient phone calls and address patient inquiries
- Schedule/reschedule appointments
- Verify appointment and follow up on canceled and no-show appointments
- Ability to manage multiple phone lines
- providers, aesthetic products and procedures.
- Knowledge of HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
- Effectively communicate relevant information to providers and staff.
Duties:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Check patients in and out, collect payments, and update patient information in the office system
- Assist with filing and organizing patient records
-Provide excellent customer support and address patient concerns or issues
- Perform general clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, and mailing
- Act as a personal assistant to the office manager or dentist as needed
Skills:
- Previous experience working in a dental or medical office preferred
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Proficient in using office equipment such as computers, printers, and scanners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with QuickBooks or other accounting software is a plus
