Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and friendly Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role is crucial in ensuring smooth operations within the medical office, contributing to a positive patient experience.

Responsibilities

Greet patients and visitors warmly, ensuring a welcoming environment.
Manage patient check-in and check-out processes efficiently.
Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar.
Handle incoming calls using professional phone etiquette, addressing inquiries and directing calls as necessary.
Perform documentation review to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient records.
Collect payments and manage medical collections as required.
Maintain organized patient files in accordance with health information management protocols.
Utilize computerized systems, including Greenway, for data entry and record management.
Assist with administrative tasks as needed to support the healthcare team.

Skills

Previous experience in a similar medical reception role is preferred.
Proficient in handling phone systems with excellent phone etiquette.
Strong skills in documentation review and health information management.
Familiarity with ICD-9 coding is advantageous.
Ability to work efficiently with computerized systems and software applications such as Greenway.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
