We have an exciting opportunity for an innovative individual to join our team as a substantive Consultant in Obstetrician in NHS Tayside. A special interest in maternal or fetal medicine is highly desirable. Applications are invited for this 10 programmed activities (PA) per week post to support Women’s Health Services across NHS Tayside.
We are a dynamic and forward-thinking team and are keen to recruit a colleague who will work flexibly with other members of the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of Women’s Health services in NHS Tayside based in Ninewells Hospital Dundee, Perth Royal Infirmary & Arbroath Hospital.
The expectation is that the successful candidate will provide support for Obstetrics services across NHS Tayside. There will be opportunities for the successful candidate to further develop Special Interests that complement and meet the needs of the service in Tayside. The post holder will be required to provide antenatal clinics, ward rounds and planned caesarean theatre lists.
There is a need to provide out of hours cover for unscheduled care in obstetrics. The provision of unscheduled care will include non-resident on call Consultant commitments for obstetrics & gynaecology in Ninewells Hospital with prospective cover and weekend cover.
