TRUST Organization Overview: The Women’s Health Leadership TRUST is a dynamic network of women health care professionals seeking to nurture their growth with strategic networking, professional and personal development and education opportunities.

Marketing & Communications Objectives: To develop and execute a contemporary marketing strategy that elevates the visibility, credibility, and engagement of the TRUST among women professionals. This includes leveraging modern tools and platforms to enhance our brand presence, foster community connection, and drive membership growth. The consultant will also lead the perpetual evaluation of our marketing and communications efforts—ensuring continuous improvement through data-informed insights, audience feedback, and alignment with the TRUST’s mission and values.
Projected weekly time commitment: 5-10 hours per week
Audience: 450+ women leaders in healthcare that are TRUST members, 2,500+ individuals that have been involved with the TRUST, 7,000+ LinkedIn followers.
Technology: The website includes WordPress pages. Member management and emails are through YourMembership.
Collaboration Expectations: This role will work in close partnership with the Administrative Director and President and will include regular meetings to align on content strategy, review analytics, set priorities, etc.
Proposal Evaluation Criteria:
- Experience and Expertise (30%) – Demonstrated success managing marketing and communications for mission-driven organizations, preferably in healthcare or women’s leadership.
- Approach and Strategy (25%) – Clarity, creativity, and alignment of proposed strategy with the TRUST’s goals.
- Continuity and Capacity (15%) – Ability to provide consistent, reliable service throughout the year.
- Budget and Value (20%) – Cost-effectiveness and transparency of pricing structure.
- Cultural Fit (10%) – Understanding of and alignment with the TRUST’s mission and values.
Proposal Requirements:

- President’s Blog: Write President’s blog for use with all of the TRUST’s communications channels, including website, newsletter, social media. Research and write monthly blog. Obtain approval from TRUST President; includes edits if needed. Upload blog to the website. May include creating strategy for video blogs and managing the process in lieu of a written blog.
- Spotlights: Develop Member, Board, and Sponsor Spotlights for use with all of the TRUST’s communications channels, including website, newsletter and social media. Includes selection of members, outreach, proofing, editing and writing for all spotlights. Upload Spotlights to the website. Current target is one member, board, and sponsor spotlight per month.
- Weekly newsletters: Draftweekly newsletters each month, distributed via email on Tuesdays at 1pm. Create content based on events and programs, TRUST blog, Member Spotlights, Board/AB Spotlights, Sponsor Spotlights, member recognition and other TRUST news. Select articles and images. Newsletter design and distribution. The newsletter will be sent to all emails the first week of the month and to members only the rest of the month. Provide quarterly measurement.
- Forum: Develop 3 Business Journal ads for the Forum. Manage design processes and approvals. Submit to the Business Journal. Support creation of “know before you go” and “thank you” emails. Create collateral as needed, such as LinkedIn graphics, award recognition signs, etc. This work typically occurs in Q1 and early Q2.
- Website updates: Update WordPress pages for new or changing content, such as the Well-being Retreat, Forum, Mentorship, Board or Associate Board changes to bios and photos, etc. Work with TRUST Director and website vendor for URL redirects and more complex website needs.
- Social Media: Create at least 5 posts per week on LinkedIn based on TRUST content (President’s blog, Spotlights, events, TRUST news, relevant member news). Includes LinkedIn administration and quarterly measurement report. Include brief (less than 1 minute) videos when appropriate. Video editing is not needed. Respond to comments and content that the TRUST is tagged on & forward responses for follow-up as needed. Provide quarterly measurement.
- Document Design: Create templates and documents as needed to ensure material is meeting the TRUST’s brand guidelines and is written in a cohesive voice.
- Analytics: Provide quarterly reporting on LinkedIn impact, website traffic, and newsletter clicks.
- Continuity Planning: To ensure continuity for the TRUST, please ensure that at least two individuals from your organization or a partnering organization can collaborate to support the weekly needs of the TRUST.Please outline your backup processes and any relevant technology or documentation used to ensure seamless knowledge transfer in the event of staff transitions or absences.
- The consultant may be asked to support additional short-term communications needs such as press releases, event collateral, or video scripts as opportunities arise.
