About the position
We are seeking a proactive, organized, and adaptable HR Generalist to join our team at our North York corporate office. This role is a key member of the People & Culture function and will provide end-to-end HR support across the organization. The ideal candidate is resourceful, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This position requires someone who can balance day-to-day HR operations with strategic support while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality and professionalism. Reporting directly to the HR Director, the HR Generalist will play a key role in maintaining a positive employee experience while supporting the business through efficient and confidential HR practices.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
General
- Provide support across all areas of HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, employee relations, HR administration, and compliance.
- Act as a trusted point of contact for employees, ensuring a positive employee experience and promoting a healthy workplace culture.
- Maintain and safeguard employee records with the utmost confidentiality.
- Support HR projects and initiatives to enhance organizational efficiency, culture, and engagement.
- Collaborate closely with the HR Director to implement HR strategies aligned with business objectives.
Role-Specific
Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for various roles (at least 2 years of demonstrated experience).
- Draft and post job descriptions, screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and support the selection process.
- Prepare and issue employment offers, contracts, and onboarding documentation.
- Facilitate smooth onboarding and orientation for new hires, ensuring a positive first-day experience.
Employee Relations & Offboarding
- Act as a first point of contact for employee relations, escalating issues to the HR Director as appropriate.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and best practices.
- Manage offboarding process including exit interviews, documentation, and system updates.
- Support employee engagement activities and initiatives that foster a positive culture.
HR Administration & Operations
- Maintain HR systems and employee files with accuracy and confidentiality.
- Prepare HR reports and track metrics to support decision-making.
- Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
- Support benefits administration and ensure compliance with applicable laws and standards.
- Leverage MS365 Suite, Teams, and workflow automation tools to improve HR processes.
- Support special projects and HR initiatives as assigned by the HR Director.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as an HR Generalist (or equivalent role) with exposure to recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and employee relations.
- Minimum 2 years’ full-cycle recruitment experience required.
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (HR Diploma or Degree). Equivalent experience will be considered.
- Proficiency with MS365 Suite, Teams, and workflow automation.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to work with high autonomy, integrity, and confidentiality.
- Strong work ethic, initiative-driven, and adaptable to changing priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Tech-savvy and comfortable with digital tools; Canva experience is an asset.
- Strong time management, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to connect with people from all backgrounds and varying degrees of experience

Hours of Operation
37.5 hours per week
