As a recognized leader in reproductive health, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Lab Assistant to join our on-site laboratory team and contribute to the success of our fertility and embryology services.
Position Summary
The Lab Assistant will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of our andrology and embryology laboratories. This position assists clinical laboratory staff by preparing materials, maintaining lab cleanliness and supplies, and ensuring the accurate handling and tracking of specimens. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, technical precision, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of laboratory quality and patient care.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in daily preparation and cleaning of laboratory areas, workstations, and equipment
· Support the embryology and andrology teams with specimen handling and labeling
· Prepare laboratory solutions, media, and supplies according to established protocols
· Perform routine laboratory maintenance, including temperature and equipment monitoring
· Maintain accurate records and logs for quality assurance and regulatory compliance
· Restock lab inventory and ensure adequate supply levels for daily operations
· Safely handle biological materials and follow all infection control and safety protocols
· Assist in data entry, filing, and other administrative duties related to lab operations
· Collaborate with laboratory personnel to ensure smooth workflow and timely task completion
Qualifications
· Associate degree in Biological Sciences, Medical Technology, or related field (Bachelor’s preferred)
· Previous laboratory or healthcare experience strongly preferred
· Basic understanding of laboratory procedures and aseptic techniques
· Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to accuracy and detail
· Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism
· Excellent communication and teamwork skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data entry
· Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, or holidays as required by lab schedule
