Our team is expanding, and we are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Medical Biller to join our revenue cycle team.
Summary
The Biller is responsible for submitting medical claims to insurance companies and payers, following up on unpaid claims, resolving billing issues, and ensuring timely and accurate reimbursement.
Responsibilities
Accurately process medical billing and coding for various procedures.
- Understanding of the revenue cycle process for physician billing
- Manage accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding claims.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies.
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems for efficient data management.
- Stay updated on changes in medical billing practices and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients regarding billing inquiries.
- Qualifications
Proven experience in medical billing and coding, including DRG, CPT, ICD-9, and ICD-10.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and healthcare regulations.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems (Epic)is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Previous experience in a medical office setting is a plus.
- Knowledge of medical collections processes is beneficial.
