On behalf of our healthcare client, Procom is searching for a Business Analyst for a 12-month role. This position is a remote position located in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada.
Business Analyst - Job Description:
Fraser Health is undertaking a project to evaluate and implement a new electronic fetal monitoring solution at six acute care sites. The project involves running a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process to select the best vendor solution, enhancing features, improving integration capabilities, and optimizing clinical workflows.
Business Analyst - Responsibilities:
- Develop and evaluate the Fetal Monitoring Request for Proposal (RFP)
- Support contract negotiations and regional implementation planning
- Conduct pre-RFP planning, including understanding current state and challenges
- Draft functional and technical requirements for improved clinical workflows
- Ensure interoperability and integration with existing systems
- Manage vendor communications and ensure fairness in the RFP process
- Facilitate vendor presentations and demonstrations for evaluation committees
Business Analyst - Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of recent experience in healthcare, focusing on workflow mapping and integration of complex clinical systems
- Experience in developing requirements and solution design documentation
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in systems analysis, development, and implementation on large systems
- Familiarity with healthcare standards, regulations, and interoperability
- Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments
Business Analyst – Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience working at Fraser Health and knowledge of FHA processes
- CBAP certification
- Awareness of emerging IT trends in healthcare
- Ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Experience drafting technical specifications and evaluation criteria
Business Analyst – Assignment Length:
This is a 12-month contract position.
