Job description

We are seeking a part-time medical secretary to join a specialist gynecology clinic. We are seeking a reliable, determined, and eager candidate to join us ASAP. Successful candidates will have experience working with EMR, have excellent communication skills, and compassion for patient care.

Responsibilities and Duties include

Greet and register patients, confirming all relevant registration details
Process referrals including arranging and coordinating appointments with specialists’ offices and diagnostic facilities
Respond to all patient phone calls in a timely and empathetic manner
Management of patient appointments and physician’s schedule
Filing medical records using EMR
Facilitating patient flow and prepping rooms between patients
Maintain attention to detail for all medical records. Scan documents into patient charts
Protect patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial information

Qualifications and Skills:

Preference will be given to candidates who have Medical Office Assistant Program
Must be fluent in Medical Office Terminology
1-2 year of relevant medical office experience preferred
1-2 Years of OSCAR (JUNO) Medical EMR experience preferred
Ability to multitask
Excellent written, verbal and electronic communication skills
Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Experience:

Medical receptionist: 1 year
EMR: 1 year
Post-secondary degree or higher
