Registered Nurse – Obstetrics / Gynecology
Location: Oswego, New York 13126
Contract: 8 weeks | Nights (7p–7a) | 36 hours/week | Rotating Weekends
Pay Rate: $81/hr | $2,916 weekly gross
- Taxable: $46.39/hr ($1,670/week)
- Non-taxable: $34.61/hr ($1,246/week)
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Obstetrics/Gynecology team in Oswego, NY for an 8-week contract. The ideal candidate will be skilled in labor & delivery, postpartum care, and Level 1 nursery. This role also includes caring for GYN, female orthopedic, and female bariatric patients as census allows.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care in labor, delivery, postpartum, and nursery settings.
- Manage medications and drips including Pitocin, magnesium, and other OB-specific medications.
- Monitor patients using GE and Philips fetal heart rate monitors.
- Document patient care in Meditech and GE EMR systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality care.
Unit Details:
- 5 Labor Rooms
- 8 Postpartum Beds
- Level 1 Nursery
Requirements:
- Current NY RN license (in hand).
- 1+ years OB/GYN experience.
- Labor room, postpartum, and nursery training required.
- BLS, ACLS, NRP certifications required.
- Fetal Monitoring Certification preferred, not required.
