About the Opportunity
Join an established private practice in vibrant South Florida as a Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) Physician. This is a non-delivery role dedicated to providing high-quality prenatal diagnostic services, ultrasound interpretation, and hospital consultations. You will collaborate closely with OB/GYNs and other providers to manage high-risk pregnancies—without delivery or surgical responsibilities—allowing for a balanced and rewarding professional lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform and interpret OB/GYN ultrasounds, including detailed fetal anatomic surveys, biophysical profiles, and Doppler studies.
- Provide maternal-fetal consultations for high-risk pregnancies in both office and hospital settings.
- Round on hospitalized antepartum patients for consultative care, coordinating with referring physicians.
- Develop individualized care plans and guide referring providers on maternal and fetal complications.
- Collaborate closely with sonographers, genetic counselors, OB/GYNs, and nursing staff.
- Accurately document and report findings using EMR.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education.
- Educate and support patients and families regarding risks, diagnostics, and outcomes.
Qualifications
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited medical school.
- Completion of an ACGME-accredited Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine.
- Active Florida medical license or eligibility for licensure.
- Proficient in ultrasound interpretation and managing complex pregnancies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Experience
- Outpatient MFM-focused practice experience.
- Skilled at supervising or collaborating with sonographers and office staff.
- Familiar with hospital-based consultative MFM care.
Work Environment & Schedule
- Outpatient office with advanced ultrasound technology.
- No delivery or surgical responsibilities.
- Rotating or fixed hospital consultation schedule.
