Job Description
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the Financial Accountant will take responsibility for critical accounting tasks that ensure the timeliness and accuracy of reporting. This role will offer autonomy and really requires someone who will take initiative and drive processes. Across the month your duties will include (but not be limited to):
- Preparation of the revenue, accounts receivable and deferred income calculation and accounting entries
- Preparation and processing of month end journals, balance sheet, banking and inter-company reconciliations
- Calculation of the doctors’ fee payments
- Preparation of revenue and receivables calculation and reports, e.g. allowance for doubtful debt calculation, activities report, patients discount report etc.
- Assisting in preparing payroll reports, journals and reconciliations
- Preparing the monthly rental expenses schedules
- Assisting with preparation of cashflow reports and forecasts
- Managing of company credit cards and employee expense claim system
- Supporting Group Financial Controller with the preparation of BAS, FBT, annual payroll tax reconciliation and income tax returns
- Assisting with monthly management reports tracking financial performance against budget and forecast
- Assisting with the budgeting and forecasting
- Other ad hoc accounting duties to support the broader team
Qualifications
Qualifications
We are seeking an
experienced Financial Accountant for this role, someone who has ideally worked in a complex environment who can use their experience and initiative to drive processes in the role. Ideally you will have,
- At least 1-2 years in a similar role
- Advanced excel and ERP experience (Oracle NetSuite experience would be an advantage)
- Strong technical knowledge of accounting concepts and processes
- Flexibility in working with multiple systems and sources of information
- Ability to communicate with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
- Great attention to detail and be results driven
- Part-qualified accountant, or studying towards accounting qualification
