About the Opportunity

A leading academic medical center in New Jersey is seeking a Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Specialist to join its dynamic team within the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. This flexible-schedule position focuses exclusively on ambulatory care, providing consultative services for high-risk pregnancies without the expectation of primary obstetric deliveries or routine gynecologic care. The role offers a collaborative environment with opportunities for academic involvement and multidisciplinary care planning.

Responsibilities

Interpret and supervise perinatal diagnostic studies including ultrasounds, biophysical profiles, and Doppler studies
Provide prenatal consultations for complex maternal and fetal conditions
Conduct inpatient consultations and co-manage high-risk obstetric patients
Participate in multidisciplinary care planning for conditions such as maternal cardiac disease and fetal anomalies
Collaborate with residents, fellows, sonographers, genetic counselors, and advanced practice providers
Supervise sonographers and contribute to academic teaching initiatives

Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG)
Fellowship training in Maternal Fetal Medicine
Experience in interpreting fetal diagnostic procedures and managing high-risk pregnancies
Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills for working within a multidisciplinary team
Familiarity with Epic and Viewpoint EMR systems preferred
