Key responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care in obstetrics and gynaecology, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of gynaecological conditions including menstrual disorders, infertility, menopause, and pelvic pain.
- Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound, colposcopy, and hysteroscopy.
- Conduct minor and major surgical procedures including caesarean sections, laparoscopies, and hysterectomies.
- Counsel patients on reproductive health, contraception, and family planning.
- Discuss diagnoses with patients, explain treatment options, and provide guidance on medications, lifestyle, and preventative care.
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans, and maintain accurate medical records.
- Support patients with complex or high-risk pregnancies and gynaecological conditions.
- Participate in clinical audits, research, and continuous medical education to enhance service quality.
Ideal candidate profile
- DHA-licensed or DHA-eligible specialist in obstetrics and gynaecology.
- Fluent in Arabic.
- Proven ability to manage both routine and complex obstetric and gynaecological cases.
- Holds an established patient following or is confident in building one.
- Committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Team-oriented and adaptable in a fast-paced clinic setting.
Minimum qualifications & experience
- MBBS or MBChB or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Completion of specialty qualification recognized by DHA, HAAD, or MOH UAE.
- Certification in basic and advanced life support.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
- Minimum 5+ years of specialist-level experience.
- Publications in peer-reviewed journals are highly regarded.
