Required BLS. ARDMS
Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography Program or Cardiovascular Technology Program that is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) is required
2 years of OBGYN Office experience
Will be doing transvaginal, anatomy, transverse, scans, etc.
Duties
As a Sonographer, your responsibilities will include:
- Performing ultrasound examinations on patients, focusing on maternal-fetal medicine and Ob/Gyn cases.
- Utilizing advanced sonography techniques to capture high-quality images for diagnostic purposes.
- Applying knowledge of anatomy and physiology to accurately assess and interpret ultrasound findings.
- Maintaining aseptic technique during procedures to ensure patient safety and compliance with health regulations.
- Communicating effectively with patients to explain procedures, alleviate concerns, and provide exceptional patient care.
- Collaborating with physicians and healthcare professionals to discuss findings and contribute to patient management plans.
- Keeping abreast of advancements in medical imaging technology and practices to enhance service delivery.
Experience
The successful candidate will have:
- Proven experience in sonography, particularly in maternal-fetal medicine or Ob/Gyn settings.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology related to sonography and diagnostic radiology.
- Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy relevant to ultrasound imaging.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and medical staff.
