Position Overview

We are seeking Somatic Coaches with a strong background in nervous system regulation and body-based practicesto join our growing team in Southern California. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in nervous system-informed care, somatic tools for regulation and resilience, and a passion for supporting women in their reproductive and maternal journeys.

This is a contract-based, flexible role. Coaches will have opportunities to provide 1:1 sessions, group offerings, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of providers.

Responsibilities

Provide somatic coaching sessions tailored to fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and overall maternal health.
Guide clients through practices such as grounding, body awareness, breathwork, guided movement, and regulation strategies.
Collaborate with Whole Mama’s integrative team (nutritionists, acupuncturists, doulas, mental health providers) to ensure holistic support.
Maintain accurate session notes and uphold client confidentiality.
Participate in team development opportunities and contribute to Whole Mama’s community workshops or retreats when available.

Qualifications

Certification or advanced training in somatic coaching, somatic experiencing, body-based trauma work, or related modality.
Demonstrated experience working with women’s health, reproductive health, or maternal wellness (preferred).
Knowledge of nervous system regulation practices (polyvagal theory, trauma-informed care, mindfulness, yoga therapy, etc.).
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to hold safe and supportive space for clients.
Located in Los Angeles, Orange County, or San Diego regions; ability to work in-person and/or hybrid.

Compensation & Structure

Independent contractor role.
Compensation is a percentage-based fee split, with Whole Mama providing client acquisition, administrative support, and community visibility.
Flexible scheduling, with autonomy to determine caseload.
