Your Role:
As a Registered Nurse in Obstetrics, you’ll be providing support to patients through pregnancy, labour and delivery, and post-partum care.
We’re Looking For Someone Who Has:
- Registered Nurse (RN) License and currently registered with good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario
- 1+ years experience in a Labour & Delivery unit
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certificate
- Fetal Health Surveillance in Labour (FHSL) certificate
- Breastfeeding course completion or relevant experience
- Perinatal or Obstetrics Nursing certificate
- Acute Care of at-Risk Newborns course completion is preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is preferred
- Experience caring for Palliative care patients is a plus!
- Caring and empathetic, acts always with integrity & respect
- Responsive and accountable, with strong communication skills
- Flexible, easily able to adapt to new and different environments
- Strong decision-making, can make timely and effective decisions
- Basic computer skills; experience with email correspondence, online submissions etc
Additional Assets:
- Basic Life Support Certification (CPR)
- Proof of current immunizations for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella (MMRV) proof of negative TB skin test within one (1) year
- Proof of COVID-19 vaccination (2 doses)
- Current N95 Mask Fit Test Certificate
- Current Vulnerable Sector Police Check
