Virtual Maternal-Infant Nurse/NP - California (IBCLC & Spanish Preferred)

We are seeking a flexible, passionate, and mission-driven provider who is dedicated to making a lasting impact on the lives of mothers and babies from all walks of life, with a special focus on serving those in low socioeconomic status communities. As a Virtual Maternal-Infant Nurse or Nurse Practitioner (NP), you will provide compassionate, remote care to maternal and infant populations throughout California. The ideal candidate will be an IBCLC-certified lactation consultant with Spanish proficiency, helping to ensure equitable access to care for diverse families.

In this role, you will:
- Provide Expert Virtual Consultations: Offer personalized education, guidance, and support to families via video consultations (Zoom). Focus areas include prenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum recovery, infant care, and perinatal mental health.
- Evaluate and Plan Care: Assess each mother’s and baby’s unique needs, providing tailored, culturally sensitive care plans. Monitor progress, offer feedback, and ensure high standards of care throughout the continuum of maternal-infant health.
- Deliver Educational Support: Conduct virtual classes and educational sessions on various topics such as breastfeeding, baby care, mental health, and newborn development.
- Collaborate with a Multidisciplinary Team: Work closely with other health professionals to improve patient outcomes and contribute to the development of best practices.
- Enhance Care Quality: Utilize telehealth technologies to improve access to care and ensure families receive high-quality, timely, and efficient support.
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a relevant field, including OB/GYN, Labor and Delivery, Perinatal, or Mother/Baby care. Expertise in virtual care delivery is a strong plus.
- Education & Certification:
- BSN or higher (no new grads)
- Active, unrestricted RN or NP license in Califonia
- Certifications: IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) and Perinatal Mental Health Certification
- Preferred: Master’s degree (NP) and membership in national professional organizations
- Technical Proficiency: Comfortable with telehealth platforms and technology, particularly Zoom video calls. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) is a plus.
- Language Skills: Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
