Pride Health is hiring a “Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer” to support our client’s medical facility in Boston, MA. This is a 3-month assignment (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Position: Maternal Fetal Medicine Sonographer
Location: Boston, MA
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Pay: $2546
Hours: 08:00a a.m. - 04:30 p.m. (40 hours/week)

- Schedule Notes: 8 am-4 pm

Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, including proper positioning, transferring, immobilizing, and addressing physical and emotional needs.
- Explain procedures clearly and compassionately to patients.
- Perform detailed obstetric ultrasound exams including:
- Fetal anatomy surveys
- Biophysical profiles (BPPs)
- Doppler studies
- Multiple gestation assessments
- Assist physicians during invasive prenatal procedures (e.g., amniocentesis, chorionic villus sampling (CVS), percutaneous umbilical blood sampling (PUBS)) using real-time ultrasound guidance and sterile technique.
- Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring optimal functionality and cleanliness.
- Capture and record high-quality digital images using PACS (Picture Archiving and Communication System).
- Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) for documentation, scheduling, and coordination of care.
- Collaborate with MFM specialists and radiologists for image review and patient management.
- Maintain thorough and accurate imaging records, ensuring compliance with departmental and medical standards.
- Manage workflow efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while maintaining professionalism and empathy.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Registered by ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) – OB/GYN registry preferred.
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist, with demonstrated OB/GYN or MFM expertise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EMR systems.
- Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and prenatal imaging protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Ability to problem-solve, multitask, and make informed decisions independently.
- Experience working collaboratively in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting.
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience in a Maternal Fetal Medicine practice or hospital setting.
- Familiarity with managing complex pregnancies and high-risk OB patients.
- Exposure to advanced imaging modalities and fetal diagnostic procedures.
